Limestone County, TX. – A 92-year-old man was killed in a multi-vehicle crash on Monday morning near Mexia in Limestone County.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash happened on US 84 at around 9 a.m.
The 92-year-old man was driving a 2009 Volkswagen Beetle westbound on US 84 when he stopped to make a left turn and was rear-ended by a 2018 Toyota SUV.
The impact pushed Volkswagen into the eastbound lane, where it was struck by a truck-tractor semi-trailer.
The driver of the Volkswagen was pronounced dead at the scene.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
