Donna Bennett and Michael Killed in Rhome Two-Vehicle Crash on U.S. 81/287 at CR 4840
Rhome, Texas – A couple was killed Friday night in a two-vehicle crash in Rhome, according to the Rhome Police Department.
The fatal crash happened around 9:30 p.m., May 24, on U.S. 81/287 at County Road 4840.
Police said a 2020 white Toyota RAV4 attempted to turn left from southbound US 81/287 onto CR 4840 and was broadsided by a grey 2023 Kia Sportage.
The Toyota driver, 86-year-old Donna Bennett, with her 83-year-old husband Michael, both from Haslet, were killed in the crash.
The Kia driver, Carin Cribbs, 32, of Wichita Falls, with her three-month-old baby, were taken to Medical Center Decatur for observation.
The authorities are investigating the crash.
