Timpson, TX – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is investigating a deadly two-vehicle traffic collision that occurred early Friday morning at an intersection outside Timpson, according to a police report.
The deadly accident happened at about 1:35 a.m. on June 28 at the intersection of U.S. Highway 59 and FM 2667.
According to the DPS, Hyundai Sonata was traveling northeast on Highway 59, when for unknown reasons, it crossed over into oncoming traffic lanes and collided head-on with a Kenworth truck tractor towing tandem trailers.
The driver of the Hyundai sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Kenworth Truck, identified as Christopher Redman, was not injured in the incident.
The crash remains under investigation.
