Houston, TX – The Houston Police Department has released new details regarding a traffic collision that claimed the life of a 48-year-old motorcycist on Clinton Drive in Houston on Tuesday morning.
HPD said a 48-year-old man was riding a black Kawasaki motorcycle at a high rate of speed at 12500 Clinton Drive when tried to pass a white 18-wheeler tractor trailer on its right side. The truck driver, also heading eastbound, was attemoting to make a wide right-turn into a business drivway, and the motorcycle struck the truck at about 7:25 a.m. on Dec. 3.
Paramdeics responded to the scene and pronounced the motorcyclist dead.
The driver of the truck was questioned and released. The accident remains under investigation.

HPD’s vehicular crime investigators responded to the accident scene, and found the motorcyclist dead.

The victim’s name has not been released pending next of kin notification.
Drivers have been urged to avoid the area as officers work atvthe scene.
