San Antonio, TX – A 15-year-old girl was fatally hit by a garbage truck early Monday morning in San Antonio’s Northwest Side, according to the police.
The deadly accident happened at about 5:30 a.m. on February 9 in the parking lot of an apartment complex off Danny Kaye Drive near Oakdell Way.
Police said Ziba Mir Shadad jumped in front of a southbound garbage truck and was struck in the parking lot.
Mir Shadad was pronounced dead at the scene. She was a 10th grader at John Marshall High School.
The police are investigating the accident.
