Houston, TX – A man was killed in a hit-and-run accident Sunday afternoon in Houston, according to the police.
The deadly accident happened around 3:55 p.m. on March 22 in the 9900 block of North Houston Rosslyn Road.
Police said a white Toyota Camry was traveling northbound when it struck Rafael Navarro Jaurequi, 76, who was crossing the road.
Jaurequi was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Camry driver fled the scene after the accident. The driver, Eli Anthony Lobo Doblado, 18, later returned to the scene and was taken into custody. He was charged with failure to stop and render aid and was booked into the Harris County jail.
The police are investigating the accident.

The pedestrian was crossing North Houston Rosslyn Road and was hit by a Toyota Camry.
The man succumbed to his injuries. The deceased’s name and details were not released.
The driver involved fled the scene but returned minutes later.
